Brandi obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, in 1995 (honors). She spent most of her nursing career in Medical/surgical intensive care and cardio-thoracic intensive care, being one of the original nurses to help open the heart surgery program in Cumberland. She went on to further her academic career, obtaining her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Cincinnati in 2013 (Magna Cum Laude). She has been employed as an adjunct faculty member at the University since 2014. She started her NP (Nurse Practitioner) career focused on congestive heart failure and management of cardiac patients and expanded to wellness, nutrition, and weight management. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed in the State of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Brandi is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She currently resides in LaVale, Maryland with her husband, Christopher, her dog, TJ, and her cat, Stella. She has two daughters, and a grandson with whom she enjoys spending time visiting. Brandi looks forward to serving her community’s health care needs.
